Out with the old. In with the new.

(One year ago today. If nothing else, my hair has grown A LOT this year.)

2010.  It's been a great year.  And, oh boy, how things have changed.  If you asked me a year ago what I thought I'd be doing just a year later, I'd never have imagined that I would be living in Boston, embarking on a new adventure.  As much as I loved our life in Salt Lake, I am so excited to be starting a new year in a new city.

Today, Lee and I went to the bike shop to look at cyclo-cross bikes and we got the low-down on some bike collectives and running clubs in the area from the super friendly bike store guy.  He told us about tons of rides and runs that go on thru out the year...  and I instantly got even more excited about living in Boston.  The bike shop guy also told us about day trips to some nearby mountains for mountain biking.  Hip, hip.... HOORAY!  Can't wait to get back on the Specalized.

Looking back... I've had a great year.  And I truly am so grateful for all that I have in life.  The time has come to set some resolutions.... (side note: In years past I have set some pretty serious resolutions and as I've gotten older and more comfortable with who I am.. I realize that I am pretty happy with where I'm at in my life and how I look and how I fit into clothes and yada-yada-yada... I bet if I dug thru my old journals from my 20's, my number one resolution was probably to lose weight, which is sad.  Now... that will never be in my list of resolutions as I believe it is more important to focus on health and then the rest will fall into place.  Unless of course I top the scales at 400 lbs and then I will add that back to my list of resolutions).

Resolutions. 2011.
  1. Run another marathon or two.
  2. Be nice most of the time. To everyone.
  3. I really really really want to take a ballet class.
  4. Save money and invest wisely so Lee and I can retire early.
  5. Go to a Red Sox game.
  6. Procreate.
  7. Continue to write as often as possible so I have memories of this time in my life.
  8. Explore New England.
  9. Make friends in Boston.
  10. Pay off the last of my student loans.
