Friday - Afternoon fix: One for Mom. One for baby. Date night gin&tonic. Little Kitty hogs the remote. This soup! A grown-up version of my childhood favorite (and, this time, I added a spoonful of coconut oil... YUM!).
Saturday - Lots of cleaning! Like with a toothbrush type of cleaning. And a bunch of odd-jobs of fixing and tightening and changing various things. Later... an evening family run. Lee pushed Alice up Heartbreak Hill. Chocolate Truffle Stout to rehydrate.
Sunday - Lilies from my love. Skype date with grandparents. Living by a coffee shop with fresh pastries is dangerous. Cause & effect play.
We got A LOT of things (and not necessarily fun things) done. It felt like a very productive weekend overall. How was yours?
You did get a lot done! Looks fun too. We fell a little short, but crossed some stuff off our list :)
ReplyDeleteI spent the whole weekend cleaning our house and preparing for my husband's holiday party. He is starting a start up in January so his team mates with their spouses and kids came over for dinner. So I had to scrub and cook enough for 12 people. Seriously stressful! So tonight I'm taking the day off and am going out to a fitness class and for sushi with my girlfriend while I leave my husband with our kids and the rest of the party dishes. Hurray!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend. I did put up the "Holiday Hanukkah-Christmas" decorations. Which isn't much, since it's just the two of us and Moe the cat. I like it that way. It is still festive, just not such a hassle taking it all down in January.
