Alice hates the hoodie! Thanksgiving 2012.
Alice met another one of her aunties over the weekend. My sister, KPT, came up from L.A. at the last minute to spend Thanksgiving with all of us. And I am so happy she did. We'd been out-of-touch for the last few months or so and it was wonderful to see her and catch up. After a few minutes of what's new talk, it felt like no time had passed and we were back to being sisters. Back to being friends. I'd missed that.
The rest of the weekend was spent eating, shopping, drinking, and relaxing. Just like the weekend after Thanksgiving should be. And I got my first spa treatment! My step-mom took me to the Meritage Spa in Napa for a massage followed by a European facial. And then we spent time relaxing in the steam room and jacuzzi while sipping wine. Perfect!
Today we leave sunny and warm California and head back to reality. Back to freezing temperatures and a winter storm set to hit Boston tomorrow. I guess our dream vacation had to come to an end sometime.

Anyone reading this have a Clarisonic? I'm thinking of taking the plunge and getting one. I hear they are miracle workers.
Glad you guys had such a wonderful trip, I have been jealously watching on instagram :) See you back here in the cold!ReplyDelete
I have a Clarisonic Mia. I know some people use it twice a day, but I only use it in the AM to slough off any flaky skin my nightly Retin-A might have caused. I never would have paid the original Clarisonic price back in the day, but you can usually find a 20% off coupon code somewhere which makes the Mia under $100. Plus it's very compact! I think it def. improves the texture of your skin and it's good to have a ritual! I'm not sure about miracles, but your skin doesn't need any!ReplyDelete
So happy for you and KPT, and that everything is A-OK. Such beautiful weather in Napa, it's a great place for pampering yourself. Glad you got to enjoy it for a few days before heading east.ReplyDelete
I've never heard of Clarisonic. I'll have to look it up. Wishing you all safe travels. xoxo Mom
