Alice is going stir-crazy. June 2012.
Alice and I both have a bit of cabin-fever. Yesterday was a scorcher here in Boston and it looks like it is going to be disgustingly hot again today. Yuck. Usually we get out of the house two, sometimes three, times a day. For coffee. To walk around the lake. Doing errands. But when it's 95F and feels like 101F due to sticky humidity? Nope. We are not going anywhere. Total bummer.
Is it hot and humid where you live? I can live with the heat. But a dry heat, like we have in Utah... not this gross swoob-and-swass type of heat. Eeeeeew.

Strava Stats: Tuesday = 4 miles/32:55 minutes. Dude. If I would've just known where this chick started her damn Strava segment I would've blown her first place 7:52 min/mile out of the water with my scorching 7:44 min/mile. I'm BACK, baby! Wednesday = Basically, I slacked off. I did a measly 2 mile walk to buy coffee but I was sweating buckets carrying Alice in the 10AM heat so that has to count for something. Right?! Today = Early AM Pure Barre DVD (<-- Thanks for the motivation, Alli!).
Sooo hot! And we don't have ac either :( Here's hoping that some cooler temps are ahead and we can get back outside.
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't handle the humidity! In Utah, it will be around 100 degrees for the next couple of days, then a cool down, then back up to 100+. The dry heat is easier to take... but it is still HOT. At least you are trying to get out. Even at 10:00 am that sounds pretty darn humid. Miss you! xoxo

ReplyDeleteHumidity sucks. Where we are is a dry heat too, so if you're in the shade it's no where near as hot. Humidity you just can't escape. I hope it cools down a bit for you.
