(There's no place like home... There's no place like home)
I'm not sure just who I pissed off but it must be someone big and powerful and vengeful. Guess what happened to Lee and I yesterday as we were leisurely making Sunday breakfast with his parents? A quick check of my email revealed that, yep sure enough, our 2 pm flight back to Boston had been canceled. Of course. Of course it was canceled!! Why would ANY travel back to the East coast be easy for us?!? The issue with this whole cluster-eff travel change is that I am scheduled to work tonight... a night shift.... and I'm currently in Minneapolis. This could be a problem!!
We land in Boston and I'll have a mere 2 hours to dash home, change into scrubs, and dash back to the hospital. To make matters just a bit more difficult?! Our car is in the shop so we'll be cab-ing it home from the airport and then I'll be cab-ing it back to the hospital a nanosecond later.
Hopefully it's all smooth-sailing. And there's nothing like staying up all night to work a night shift after a day of travel! Good times! Luckily my mother-in-law stocked me up with Cadbury mini-eggs to fuel my sugar needs while I work!
Fingers crossed we're not delayed!! Every second is going to count!
Gah! I hope things got better!!!
