Last night we went out for Jaimie's birthday at a place I have not been to in over a DECADE! Good ol' Liquid Joe's for the 80's cover band, the Spazmatics... who actually rock, by the way. Liquid Joe's is a place I used to go to see my high school boyfriend's band play and back then, it was a cool place to be. Now? Not so much. It was THE WEIRDEST crowd...totally schizophrenic... like hipsters and cougars and West Valley chicks with bump-its in their hair and old Asian dudes and guys with moustaches sitting at tables all by themselves. Totally random. But we managed to have a great time. I didn't drink and was the DD which was awesome because I am not hung over today. There comes a time in your life when you FINALLY realize that it isn't actually worth it to drink like a fish and then feel like death warmed over the next day. I think I have finally made that realization... here's to hoping it sticks!
