baby, it's cold outside.

(Don't be jealous of my sexy outfit.)

Lee and I just did probably our last mountain bike ride of the season and man, was it c-c-c-c-cold.  I wore a dry-fit t-shirt, a dry-fit long sleeve shirt, an Adidas biking jacket, running tights with bike shorts over the top, long socks, and full-fingered gloves... and I was STILL cold (mostly on the downhill).  The high in SLC is only supposed to be 45 today... I think it was in the high-30's while we were out there.  We rode from our loft downtown to the Bonneville Shoreline trail (BST) then over to Dry Creek.  The trail is in perfect tacky soil condition... and, because it is so cold out there, we only saw 2 or 3 people whereas during the summer it's a total cluster-f*$% on that section of the trail.  The views were spectacular, the mountains are snow-covered, and there was still some fall foliage to be seen.  Hopefully New England has some mountain biking that can compare to the stellar riding we have here in Utah!

(Summertime riding on the BST.  Spectacular views, as usual.)
