Stink-face twins. Baby Briana, Dec '79. Baby Alice, Jan '13.
Currently... loving the series Digital Lives on NPR. The topic this morning was about the risks and rewards of growing up playing video games. Since we are no where near having a kid old enough to be a gamer, I haven't put much thought into how I feel about Alice playing video games and what I believe the effects of those games could have on her development. Do your kids play video games? (and last week's topic on social media and how it affects our relationships).
Currently... excited to make this slow-cooker spaghetti bolognese for dinner tonight. Review to follow.
Currently... wondering when my brain will come back from its baby-brain vacation. I just don't feel as sharp as I used to pre-Alice! Yesterday I went to heat up my coffee in the microwave and I opened up the cabinet to place my cup in there instead. Yep! Just one of many daily fuzzy-brain examples.
Currently... feeling a bit stir-crazy due to not having left the house yesterday because of the single-digit temperatures. It isn't much warmer today but we are planning to walk the half-mile to baby-group this afternoon very quickly so we can at least get out of our apartment!
Currently... so happy for one of my best friends (since junior high!) who had her baby boy on Tuesday. Welcome baby Jack! And welcome to the wonderful (and sometimes crazy!) world of motherhood, Annie!
What are you currently doing?
This freezing weather has basically kept me house-bound as well. I'm trying to be mentally tough to hold out for summer. I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure the sharpness ever returns post-baby. Over two years later I'm still fried, but I actually think James is worse :) And this weather is really miserable. It's just too cold, I miss being outside!
ReplyDeleteI literally laughed out loud at the two photos! I love the expression!
ReplyDeleteThe "sniff" face! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Great comparison. We've had the same sub-zero weather here for most of January. It's supposed to be 33 to 35 degrees here tomorrow. That will seem almost toasty and balmy. Keep Warm! xoxo
