Wilson Farm.

Oh!  It was such a glorious fall day yesterday.  Honestly.  It couldn't have been better.  Cool temperatures.  A brisk wind.  Bright sunshine.  Blue skies.  And we happened to go pumpkin-picking!  It turned out to be more like pumpkin-buying, but that's okay.  I guess I had this idea of fields full of pumpkins and we'd walk up and down the muddy rows looking for the perfect one (I even wore my rain boots!).  But no, not really.  Wilson Farm is awesome but it is more like a big grocery store.  A big grocery store with a ton of locally grown produce.  And freshly made apple cider donuts.  We bought six and I'm pretty sure I ate four and a half of them myself.  So good.

Wilson Farm also happens to have a little barn full of chickens, a pig, and a llama named Bella.  Bella roams free in this little barn and isn't the least bit shy.  And just look at those crooked teeth!  I'm not even sure she can chew with them since they are sticking almost straight out.  I guess it's a good thing Bella is a vegetarian.

And hanging out with my friends little boys, who are two and four years old, got me so excited for Alice at those ages.  They are so much fun!  Busy and full of questions but definitely so much fun.  

We bought two little sugar pumpkins and I plan to make them into baby food for Alice.  I thought about buying a big pumpkin to carve but then I remembered that I don't really enjoy carving pumpkins all that much and that, as Alice gets older, we'll be doing a lot of pumpkin-carving come Halloween.  So I gave myself this year off.  Next year, though, I'll be sure to get elbow-deep in pumpkin guts!
