O'Hare International.

Bee bottom. August 2012.

On our way to and from Canada, we had a layover in Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.  What a beautiful place!  During our time there on our way home, I pulled out my camera and snapped a few photos.  The light in the terminal was unbelievable at 5PM.  And the arched glass-windowed ceilings in the terminals were stunning!  I clicked away as we walked towards our departing gate.  Walking behind Alice and my husband reminded me of following them while taking pictures in Times Square.  It is so funny to watch people's reactions when a man walks past them carrying a baby!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaww.

Luckily we had over an hour to meander through the airport to grab lunch (and margaritas!) at Frontera while awaiting our flight back to Boston.  And Alice had time to lay around and kick her feet rather than be held by us in a plane seat.  I'm telling you... having a connection during a long travel day is key when flying with a kid.

Do you have a favorite airport?  I don't know anyone who loves flying nowadays what with the shrinking seat space and increasingly long security lines.  At least airports are starting to have healthy and delicious places to eat.  And, when they are architecturally stunning like O'Hare, it makes the pains of travel a little more bearable.

Ready for take-off. ORD -> BOS.

  1. Love the architecture of the Airport, great lines. Such a great picture of your husband and baby. Glad she was a good traveler this time around. xoxo
