It has been five months since I've had my hair cut. The ends of my hair looked like they'd been stuck in an electrical socket. Not cute. Why did I wait so long? Who knows. Laziness, maybe. Or maybe it's because I've worn my hair up in a messy bun or ponytail pretty consistently the last few weeks, masking the grossness of my ends. Either way, it was some much-needed maintenance. Just an inch or so. Just what I needed. And I figured it is much easier to get my hair cut now while this wee-one is quietly inside of me rather than when she is squirming and screaming outside of me, right? Right.
In other news, I am 36 weeks pregnant today. Does it look like this little one has dropped in my belly or is it just my imagination? Also, I found out that my mom delivered me early at 38 weeks and I was already a whopping 8-ish lbs. Maybe there is hope that I'll only be pregnant for two more weeks? Wouldn't that be wonderful. And also terrifying.
Is there any truth to if-your-mom-delivered-early-you-will-too theory? Just humor me and tell me yes. Four more weeks seems like an awfully long time.
I don't think there's any truth to it. My friend Eliza's mum delivered her 10 weeks early, yet Eliza's baby was 7 days late. Apparently all the women in my dad's family have had their babies at 38 weeks. I'm 38 weeks today so we'll see.
ReplyDeleteMaybe! My mom was "late" with me (no u/s in 1976 so her dates could have been off) and I went 6 days past my EDD (and I was sure of dates).
ReplyDeleteI don't think so... nothing will happend with early pregnancy but below 7 months its very risky.
