I am reminiscing about the past today. The places I have been. The experiences I have had. I've been very lucky to have traveled as much of the world as I have. I caught the travel bug early and went to Europe for 6 weeks with a girlfriend at just 19 years old. Since then I've managed to take a major trip abroad at least once a year. Today I am remembering the two weeks I spent in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, visiting my little sister who went to a university there. What an experience! I'd go back to Rio in a heartbeat. It truly is a magical place.
What is your favorite vacation you've ever taken? Out of the many, I have two favorites. One that pre-dates my husband and one after I met my husband. I went to Rio just two months before I met Lee and had the time of my life. Exploring that city with my sister was an experience I will never forget. My other favorite vacation was the trip that Lee and I took to South Africa for my 30th birthday. Lee planned the entire thing. And it is a birthday I will never forget.
If you could go anywhere, where would you go? Asia. Anywhere in Asia.
I haven't been tons of places around the world, but probably more than most Utahans. But I think you've said it before how great traveling here in America is good too and I think you're right. Really the Grand Trip I just did was probably one of my favorite trips of my life. So great to be there and just relax and have a nice easy trip in a place I've seen tons of times before but now with totally new eyes. Really one of my favs.
