- Gluten-free Banana Pancakes.
- Mother's Day mimosas.
- Baked white sweet potato fries with fry sauce.
- Chopping mint for this delicious salad.
No one in my immediate family is religious so whenever we get together for holidays our celebrations always revolve around food and drink. And with my sister here, this weekend was no exception. Sunday morning Lee whipped up delicious banana pancakes with fresh berries and dry-rubbed bacon. Of course there were mimosas. Then after a quick walk in the rain, we were ready to eat again and had baked sweet potato fries. Because I'm from Utah, I can't fathom eating fries without my beloved fry sauce. You haven't heard of fry sauce?! Well, I am about to blow your mind. Take equal parts mayo and ketchup, stir them together, and then BAM! You have the most delicious sauce for anything in your life that requires dipping.
2.8 million
fry sauce-loving Utahns can't be wrong.
Weekend Workouts: Saturday - Run! 3.2 miles with hill repeats x 5. Sunday - Crossfit: 100 double-unders, 20 knees-to-elbows, 24 tricep dips, 30 chest-to-bar pull-ups. Amanda's first time at Crossfit and she LOVED it.
Sounds like a perfect weekend and those pancakes look delicious!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a wonderful Mothers Day weekend. Our weekend started out with a Ballet West fashion show. Sunday breakfast at my favorite cafe. Husband cooked steak and lobster for dinner... of course a glass of champagne was added too.
ReplyDeleteAs for fry-sauce. It is a Utah staple. There is even a company that makes its own version "Some Dudes Fry Sauce". That is for people who are just a bit pampered. xoxo
That looks like one delicious breakfast, glad you had a good mother's day!
