It starts today!

Our last non-local produce purchase. June 2012.

Oh man.  I have been patiently waiting for this day for months.  Like since last October.  Today is the first day of the Brookline Farmers Market and I couldn't be more excited.  Everything fresh.  Everything local.  Everything delicious.

See you in October, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.

Do you have a Farmers Market in your area?  As sad as I was to leave the SLC Farmers Market, I have to say... this one in Brookline might be better.  Freshly caught seafood.  Fresh wild blueberries.  Freshly made wine (okay... maybe not fresh, but local for sure).  No dogs allowed.  And no overload of craft booths!

  1. I wish we had a good farmers market here... there is nothing in Roswell!! I miss the SLC one too... even some of the craft booths, but even those were TOO many! Jealous... yet again!! :)

  2. Wow that sounds great- I can't believe I've never been to the Brookline Farmer's market, I have to check it out. I used to have a CSA share that I picked up in Brookline but this year we're trying to rely a lot on our own garden and I do go to Wilson's in Lexington a good amount. Cherries... yum!

  3. Downtown farmer's market started last weekend! I was so excited. We went down and enjoyed delicious Sudanese food that we look forward to every year. I also bought pasteries, no veggies, go figure! We have a new Sunday market at Wheeler Farm which I've heard is growing by the week. I can't wait to check it out!
