Defying the laws of gravity.

(That's Lee. He's so fast, he's blurry. These are the amazing Summit Pass steps.)

I will never ever ever take summertime running for granted ever again.  If, this next summer, I'm ever like, 'Hmmmm, I don't feel like running today, I'm going to take another rest day,' I'll just think back to this afternoon when it was 15 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND WE WENT RUNNING IN IT!  Geez.  The sidewalks were a slushy, slippery mess and half of them weren't shoveled but, let me just tell you... it felt great to get a run in.  Remember... I am addicted.

So we went to R.E.I. today to pick up a bike rack to store our bikes in our apartment.  At our home back in SLC we had a sweet storage space where we were able to store all of our many bikes that we collectively own... that's right, between the two of us we have 7 bikes.  I have 2 and, well... I'll let you do the math on that one.   Anyway, we have no place to store our bikes here in Boston other than in our apartment (and P.S. we only have 4 bikes here, 2 for each of us).  So Lee found these gravity-defying racks and they're pretty kick-ass.

This thing just leans against the wall... it is not screwed or hooked to the wall in any way.  I don't know how it works and it hurts my brain to think about it too much.  Let's just hope it doesn't come crashing down in the middle of the night.

It's snowing here again.  We're hunkering down for the night.  We bought some awesome rib eye steaks from The Meat House for dinner.  Add some baked potatoes, sauteed spinach, and some red wine and I'm a happy girl.

Garmin stats: 5 miles/49 minutes. Includes 3 times up and down the 1/4 mile stairs. Feel the burn.

  1. Oooh, interesting. Our gigantic bikes (I have a semi-recumbent) have been parked in our living room since we moved here. May have to check out that rack! :)
