Anxiety-inducing.

(Post-night shift and waiting for the bus. Oh and that glass behind me? Frozen.)

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.  ONE MORE night shift and then I am off for FOUR days.  I am a total wuss.  Before this week I hadn't worked night shifts in over two months and these three night shifts in a row are kicking my ass.  Exhausting.  And then I tell myself.... SUCK IT UP!  You only work three days a week!  Complaining = done.

Anyway, I've decided that I need to take the earlier bus to Harvard Square where I catch the Red line train because the straight-up anxiety I've been having by taking the 6:10 p.m. bus is enough to put me in the looney bin.  I absolutely, positively HATE being late.  Hate. Hate. HATE it.  It causes me anxiety just thinking about it.  So yesterday when the bus was stopping every 50 feet to pick up MORE passengers and the minutes were ticking by and my little heart was thumping at the thought of missing the train (which I did end up missing), I realized I need to do myself a favor and take the bus that leaves a mere 10 minutes before (rocket science, right?).

So on that note, I need to get showered up and ready for my LAST night of work for this week.  Oh, and then?  It's my BIRTHDAY!

  1. First of all: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Second of all: relying on the T to be on time (whether it be the trains, the buses or the commuter rail) is not healthy for you at all. But you can rely on the T to give you a lame excuse every time they are late.

    ;-)
